One of the highlights of the Walawwa Suites is that you will be staying in a colonial manor house which was home to a southern aristocratic family patronized by many political leaders of Sri Lanka including Madam Sirimavo Bandaranaike, the first woman to ever become a prime minister in the world who’s favorite room is now called the “Prime Ministers Suite“

The “Governor’s suite” is the other suite in this category which was the room used by the former Governor of the Southern Province where the villa is located. He is the current heir to Thalpe Walawwa.'
