Thalpe Walawwa Heritage Villa is a 75-year-old, magnificently restored Manor House located in Thalpe, Unawatuna. Known as a destination that provides a completely relaxed vacation, the villa played a significant role in the rich history of Sri Lanka. The childhood home to a former Governor of the South and a Cabinet Minister, the villa has been a vacation retreat away from home to many prominent public figures including the first-ever woman prime minister of the world, Madam Sirimavo Bandaranaike. Constructed before the second world war, Thalpe Walawwa to this date stands strong and has created lifelong memories to many travelers from all around the world.
